A quick glimpse from the journey …

Global Things

Can you imagine being invited to a wedding, only to have someone crack the door, reach their hand out offering a mint, and then close pull the door shut again, telling you they’ll send you a link to the pictures? That’s a little bit how I’m feeling about TRYING to share some of what has been filling my current journey. Forgive me being vague, but know that my value of the freedom and safety of our partners surpasses my longing to share some of the “feast” in a blog post. Could we meet in person for coffee, so I can share it with you unedited and unrestricted??? I would LOVE that. 🙂

I want to pause long enough to share a few prayer requests and a few requests. I hope you won’t feel like it’s “just a wedding mint.”

  • Praise the Lord with me for an abundance of His goodness. He has been our Teacher, our Healer, our Shepherd, our Father as we have traveled. My heart … and mind are full.
  • Pray for God to convey and seal what He wants in the hearts and minds of our “two disciples.”
  • Ask the Lord to enlarge our hearts to absorb all that we are learning and all that our partners are sharing with us.
  • Ask the Lord to give all 4 of us physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual energy as we spend time with our partners. We really long to encourage them.
  • We have a lot more miles before us, and we don’t take our safety for granted. Ask the Lord to keep on providing.
  • Ask the Lord to engrave His lessons to me in my mind, so I will be a move effective teacher of His Word.
  • We have been healthy, PTL! We have been sleeping to sounds like planes, doves, crying babies, and calls to prayer. Pray for deep sleep when we get opportunities.
  • My feet are so tired. 🙂 Pray for strong feet!

Much more to share with you than I could say. It’s late … I’m tired … the sounds of the kids playing a game with our “partner kid” are sweet as I type to you.

I’ll be in and out … mostly out … for another week or so as we travel. Journeys like this remind me all over again that we are meant to “Come, have a peace.”

What others are saying

"Julie’s writings and teachings have been spiritual markers in my life. The deep knowledge of the Word she possesses, and they way in which she delivers it through her writing are deeply impactful. I would say that my favorite piece about Julie’s work is the way she speaks truth in love. She never waters down scripture to fit someone’s desires. And she does this with so much grace and compassion."
