My recent travels have had me on more than a few flights while I’m doing my summer relay. Walking through First Class usually stirs up “the covet” in me, as I join the ranks of the typical traveler in the back of the plane. There’s not a lot of room between seats back there, and my heart goes out to the moms around me who have spent flights (sometimes overnight) trying to keep busy kids from going bonkers in the midst of 400 strangers … who are trying to sleep. In honor of those valiant moms, I want to share some of what I’ve learned in traveling with my kids when they were young and some of what I’ve observed of the moms who have traveled around me … some happily, and some just happy to get off the plane.
