It’s Feed Me Friday! Today’s the day I love to give women a little inspiration for their kitchen that helps them love on the people in their lives. Today I want to share a “recipe” for a super simple dessert that one of my teammates from The MOM Initiative made last weekend while I was with the MOMs for a retreat. Getting together with this group of godly women was a total joy!
Check out my post today on The MOM Initiative about Raising kids with the urge to lead.
While we were grocery shopping, Tracey Easter, author of Be the Mom, casually suggested she could make a really simple dessert. Little did we know how decadent it would be, so I’ve dubbed it “Tracey’s Temptation.” The name is totally fitting, despite the face that Tracey herself is a completely loving, encouraging and wonderful lady. And honestly, I’m kinda glad I gave in and indulged in this particular “temptation!”
Tracey’s Temptation
- Prepare one boxed cake mix (Tracey used chocolate) and crumble it
- Prepare one large box of instant pudding
- Bring 16 oz of cool whip to room temperature
- Chop up about 3 cups of your choice of: M&Ms, Oreos, Snickers, or Heath bars
In a large glass bowl, layer: 1/2 crumbled cake, 1/2 chocolate pudding, 1/2 cool whip, 1/2 chopped candy/cookies. Repeat the layers and chill in the fridge a couple of hours until your loved ones arrive or, in this case, a house full of MOMs of all ages who can’t wait to be together.
This was especially delicious when shared with friends who have come from all around the country, brought together by their love for the Lord and for moms. Thanks for sharing, Tracey! You can find Tracey at her blog or you can join her at MomLife Bootcamp in Texas!

This was so good! I ate two helpings. Snickers are my favorite candy bar when I eat candy:). Can’t believe we were all eating this together a week ago tonight! Thanks for sharing the recipe:).

I think the “eating together” part made it extra sweet! The Snickers made for a great combo. I’m imagining even more varieties …
