Today the EXPECTANT blog tour is hosted by a friend who loves moms.
Stephanie Shott founded The Mom Initiative out of the overflow of her heart for God and for mamas. Steph is passionate about mentoring and taking the message of Titus 2 to the streets in order to impact the next generation. I’ve been writing and serving with Stephanie for the past 3 years, and I just love her humble heart for Jesus. Our hearts have been tied together, and I’m so glad. She is a mom and a grandma, but she is also the author of Understanding What Matters Most and a girl with a global heart. Visit Stephanie at her blog, where she leads women to live full, fearless, and faithful lives.
Moms need some “go-to” recipes for days when creativity is low, the budget is tight, or the rain is heavy. This is my favorite for Microwave Play Doh. With a few simple ingredients and a microwave, this is a fun craft for mom to make, for kids to help with, and for everyone to use for creativity. This easy, economical recipe makes an excellent party favor in individual baggies with curls of ribbon, too.
Microwave Play Doh
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup salt
- 2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 T. oil
- 1 cup water
- food coloring and optional flavoring (banana, cinnamon, almond, coconut, etc)
Microwave for about 2 minutes and then cool briefly before kneading gently. This keeps well in a plastic bag and has such a nice texture.
So does this “count” for Feed Me Friday? Well the good part is … this play doh doesn’t taste good, but if curious hands want to explore the taste, it won’t hurt, either. Every mom can use this easy, dependable play doh recipe!
