I did it! I brought Jo to college. I have to admit … somewhere in Kentucky the thought crossed my mind that I could “get lost” and have another day with her. 🙂 This life change is in motion and she is moved into her dorm room. She came a bit early for Cross Country, and tomorrow “Orientation” officially starts and Jeff will join us for the festivities. And since you might be dying to know … the biggest “boo hoo” of the day was when Jeff prayed with us as we drove out of the driveway! WHERE WERE THE TISSUES THEN? Packed.
The rest of the drive was peaceful, with good chances to chat, to listen to uplifting music, and to sip coffee together in bright sunshine that I like to think was a gift from a very thoughtful Heavenly Father. Thank you Julie! These verses have been all around me this past week. I’ve needed it as we go through change in several different areas of our life. Praying for you sweet friend and I will remember to send you waterproof mascara when your son goes off to college :-).
