Dear readers, you might hear a few crickets chirping here this week and next. I have not moved to Australia (though I LOVE Australia!), started Christmas shopping (I did buy something on clearance in August), or gone on a cleaning spree (insert ashamed face here). Instead, I have joined my sweet husband in the privilege of traveling to the other side of the globe to speak at a conference for cross-cultural workers. We LOVE to serve this way, and it’s even better when we can do it together. After that, we will hop over a few countries to visit a family we partner with. Much of this region of the world considers itself atheistic. I will have the opportunity to speak to women in both countries. My heart is full with the messages God has given me. I appreciate your prayers for both.
Will I share pictures? Sure! If we are surprised by free moments (not counting on this) and internet access (just being realistic) as we travel, I might get to share a few while we are en route. It might be easiest to put them on the CHP Facebook page. I have scheduled some One Minute4MOM encouragements while we are away. When we serve in this way, we need to be uber-focused (Jeff’s word) and available to those we are with. Other than a chance surprise moment to post a photo, I’ll share pics when I return and jet lag departs.
And may I just say that I’m really excited about December? I have two things to share with you in December, and they both give me chills. In a good way!
As I head out to meet with a group of citizens from a collection of countries, this verse is on my heart: “But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior” (Phil. 3:20 – NLT).
So as you are reading this, I am most likely in the air, on a bus, waiting in line, or drooling on Jeff’s shoulder. Thank you for praying!
