What’s small and warm and colorful, but fits in your hand and belongs on your Super Bowl party table? Cheeseburger Sliders! These Cheeseburger Sliders can be assembled in no time at all, and you can even prepare the meat ahead of time for the party. Start with your favorite small rolls and build these satisfying snacks that are hefty enough to use for supper!
Cheeseburger Sliders for the Super Bowl
- 6 – 8 small rolls (I used Original Hawaiian Sweet Hamburger Buns, because I made these for supper, and Hawaiian Sweet Hamburger Buns are really “full-size.”)
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 T. mustard
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (you pick the variety)
- lettuce
- 1 – 2 Roma tomatoes, sliced thin
- mayo
- 2 T. butter
Brown the ground beef & drain. Add ketchup & mustard & combine thoroughly. Mix in the cheese until it’s melted throughout the meat.
To assemble Cheeseburger Sliders
- Start by putting a little soft butter on your slider rolls and lay them on a medium hot griddle/pan to let them toast and get all steamy.
- Spread a little bit of mayo on the bottom roll of each slider.
- Next, lay lettuce leaves (I used spinach) on top of the mayo, then 1 or 2 thin slices of tomato.
- Top it with a heap of cheeseburger sliders meat mixture.
- Finish it off with a grilled bun top.
YUM! I served these with fresh strawberries. It was so good I almost forgot it was January and 10 degrees outside!
So do you watch the Super Bowl? What event is most likely to start a party at your house? And what food is the main attraction on your party table?
