Today for Feed Me Friday I just want to show you one handy tool I picked up this week to help get my meal planning back in shape. I had slacked off … just a little … okay, a lot.
I’ve done three things to help jumpstart my meal planning motivation and success.
3 things to jumpstart your kitchen success
- I bought a very simple recipe book that focuses on cooking to have some to freeze. I found it while browsing through my sister-in-law’s kitchen shelf. You can find the book I’m using here: Don’t Panic – Dinner’s in the Freezer: Great-Tasting Meals You Can Make Ahead
- I attended a workshop to learn about how to shop economically and meal plan economically. It was presented by a local blogger who met with women “IRL” (In Real Life) 😉 Great idea! I wanted to take away at least 2 things to try, and I did!
- I put this handy write on/wipe off weekly planner on our fridge so I can show everyone what the plan is and … it’s good for accountability. (Click here to see it in your reader, if you can’t view the photo) Here’s one that’s similar to mine: Wall Pops WPE98895 Dry Erase Peel & Stick Whiteboard Dry-Erase Weekly Calendar
Sometimes my kitchen really benefits from some new recipes, new approaches to planning and shopping, and a new tool to keep it together. Taking a little time to organize my meal tools actually helps me to keep my Focus on my bigger goals.
Do you have a meal tool that helps make your kitchen sing?
This weekend you might need to make my Best Chocolate Chip Cookies or my Cheddar Chowder. If you’re stuck inside on an icy day, this could be your chance to use the Reflect Card, the Simplify Card, the Dream Card, or the Focus Card to Plan for a Great 2013!
