A highlight for me in this past year was definitely the weekend I spent with The MOM Team of The MOM Initiative. TMI began as a dream in the heart of my friend Stephanie Shott. Since then, God has put together a varied, passionate team of moms from all over the United States. I think what I love most about “the moms” is that they are so …. REAL. We’re having our first conference together in the summer of 2014, and if you’re a mom, mentor, ministry leader, or wanna-be, we would love to have you join us! I’ll be sharing 4 breakout sessions as part of the weekend. In fact, read a little about the Conference and then CHECK OUT THE GIVEAWAY at the end!!!

I have been involved in MOPS for a few years then moved to a place where there wasn’t a local MOPS, so started a moms connect group and it is amazing to see the blessings come from and God’s work. We need to be there for one another in support and encouragement, because some days it is tough!
Julie Sanders says
Some days ARE tough, and what a blessing you were to be the gatherer of a group for moms! I know they (and you!) were blessed by being together!
Cindy Bultema says
I experienced the blessing of being “better together” in a significant way when my kiddos were little. I joined a MOPS group back when my gang was ages 1, 2, 3 & 10. I’ll never forget when I had to miss a week due to a sick little guy, and in my “fogginess”, I forgot to call and let my MOPS leader know. When my group members called later that day to check on me, remind me that I was missed, and let me know that I was not alone – in made all the difference in the world! Yes, motherhood is definitely “better together!”
Julie Sanders says
Love that example, Cindy! It’s so comforting to know we aren’t isolated or forgotten, and it can feel that way with little ones. I’m sure you were missed by your MOP friends 🙂

Oh…. moms are better “together” for many reasons. It is hard to pick one. One of my favorites is to share the ups and downs – laughter and, yes, even tears. I don’t think it is mathematically possible, but the joys are multiplied while the hurts are somehow divided. It is a beautiful thing! 🙂
Julie Sanders says
I love breaking the rules of math! And it is a beautiful thing 🙂
